Fix Care Stages
Stage 1-Initial Visit:
After completing a thorough functional examination, postural and x-ray
analysis is performed. This is a critical component to the initial
patient visit and is vital to determine if the patient is a candidate
for care at Dynamic Chiros.
Stage 2 - Adjustment
These are types of adjustments in which a patient is stressed in a
position that has lost its’ normal motion and a force is applied (to
restore motion) to the spine or pelvis. This is sometimes aided with
help of a drop table or chiropractic instruments. This is unique to the
adjustments provided at Dynamic Chiros and differs from treatments
received at physical therapy treatments. Physical therapy focuses on
mobilization, which can improve joint flexibility, while the adjustments
provided at Dynamic Chiros focus on correction of aberrant joint motion;
these adjustments are designed to permanently change spinal position,
posture, and restore biomechanical function.
Stage 3 – Exercise and Traction:
Because ligaments and muscles actually change shape as a result of poor
posture and alignment, corrective adjustments always within the
tolerance of each individual patient
are crucial to make long-term, positive changes. Unlike medical
traction, which only pulls apart joints to provide brief relief of
symptoms, our specific form of chiropractic biomechanical traction
involves applying a sustained force to the spine in order to restore
normal spinal alignment and motion. Much like an orthodontist applies
braces to correct crooked teeth, the chiropractors at Dynamic Chiros
prescribe traction in order to move the spine to a more normal position
over time.
